Consumption Evolution

In July, consumption showed a variation compared to the same period last year: -7.1%. In the conventional market, the variation was 0.3%, and in the electric market, it was -20.0%. The annual cumulative evolution stands at 4.2%, with 0.3% in the conventional market and 13.8% in the electric market.

Consumption Variation

Consumption corresponds to all the gas consumed monthly in mainland Portugal. It is broken down into two main market segments, as follows.
Electricity Market, which corresponds to gas consumed by combined-cycle power plants for electricity generation; and Conventional Market, which corresponds to gas for household and industrial consumption, excluding electricity generation.
Monthly variations are calculated vis-à-vis the same month of the previous year. Annual values concern the accumulated values up to the corresponding month and those for 12 months concern the twelve months ending in the corresponding month in comparison with the same period from the previous year.
